Santa Muerte Figure Candle 12"

$21.00

Santa Muerte figural candles are intended to act as temporary shrines in petition work or as offertory pieces for permanent shrines. If you examine them, they resemble the traditional statues found in many botanicas across the U.S. and throughout Latin America. Candles, when used as temporary shrines, have a unique power all of their own. When liquid wax is poured into a mold and solidified, so is its intention. Once the solidified intention is then melted and released back into the ether it has the capability to influence the unseen realms. They can be used to call upon a variety of Santa Muerte's aspects for purposes from healing to hexing and come in all standard colors, both plain and with herbal loads.

Custom candles are prepared specifically for you and your purpose and take an extra two days to prepare properly. Any candle can be amplified with herbal loads. Just send a note with your needs. Our candles are made using a 50/50 mix of paraffin and organic soy wax to increase burn time and retain detail.

Available colors are:

White: Healing, purification, habit-breaking, spiritual strength, blessing and cleansing.

Yellow: When related to Santa Muerte, yellow is associated with happiness, wealth, success, abundance, prosperity, and seeing results in your life.

Red: Red is often associated with love, but red is actually the color of any heightened or peaked spiritual state (this includes all emotion.) Traditional candle works from previous generations tended to ascribe the color red to strong emotions, and for this reason red was often coupled with another candle color to express or release certain lower vibrations (alternately known as curses.) However, red is a wonderful color to also invoke feelings of fondness be it love or lust, and also in kuras intended to affect the blood of the target. Truly one of the most versatile colors and one of the original three in traditional Santa Muerte practices (white, red, black.)

Orange: Orange seems to be one of the most overlooked color aspects related to Santa Muerte. Perhaps this is because our modern proclivities have inclined us toward removing something or gaining something from our lives. Orange exists outside of gain and loss, but influences paths. Magia de caminos, or magic of roads, is very important magic, as it influences our paths in life. It can open and close roads, help form and break habits, change perspectives and aid in finding the correct path to take in any situation. Additionally, sometimes nothing more is needed than to open or close a path to receive the blessings associated with choosing the right way to go. We all have destinies filled with blessings, and sometimes we do not know exactly what it is we need. When these feelings of not knowing which way to go have made it difficult for us to pick a path, Santa Muerte in orange will point the way.

Green: When related to Santa Muerte, green is often associated not with money as it is commonly accepted in North America, but with aspects pertaining to the law and is closely associated with law enforcement due to the common use of green in law-enforcement uniforms throughout Latin America. Green has mostly to do with influencing court cases (in addition to brown), protecting people from the law, and assisting people redirect their life paths. From petitioning to keep the law away from someone to ritual work intended to change court outcomes, green is a very strong color when dealing with most aspects of law and the legal system.

Purple: Purple is one of the most powerful aspects of Santa Muerte. Heavily associated with developing and improving psychic ability, spiritual transformation, intuition, direct knowledge and magic, purple can be used prior to heavy ritual work to learn how things should be carried out, to gain insight into different aspects of Santa Muerte's mysteries, and to develop magical ability. Purple is made even more powerful when coupled with specific herbs.

Pink: Pink is an excellent color for things of a lighter nature. It is neither white nor red, but is both at the same time. It is not quite love, not quite purity, but aspects of both. Used for sexual desire, sweet thoughts, and enjoyment on the physical plane. This can be related to anything from money to sex depending on how it is utilized, and is often made more potent in combination with other candles. Pink is also excellent for protecting children under the age of 7.

Blue: Second only to black, blue is one of the strongest colors to call upon the protective aspects of Santa Muerte. The truth is, all aspects of Santa Muerte come with their own heavy protective potency, but blue is almost pure protection. It has the spiritual quality of shielding individuals from physical harm and for making justice in situations of abuse, such as abusive relationships or aiding intervention in cases where children are being harmed. Because of this, common unintended consequences of using this color with Santa Muerte are abrupt separations, swift legal action, and rapidly dissolved partnerships. Blue is a very powerful color by itself and requires the user to be precise in their intention to avoid unwanted consequences due to unclear intentions. Blue can also be used in addition to other colors to assist in preventing unintentional consequences from occurring during magical works. Other aspects of blue include having the truth known, promoting peace, improving communication and gaining wisdom.

Black: One of the original three colors associated with traditional Santa Muerte work, black is the go-to, all-purpose, industrial-strength color when it comes to anything related to protection, reversal and the dark arts. Being a deity of death, Santa Muerte has dominion over all necromantic arts including spirit communication and magia negra, black magic. When used to protect against other people's witchcraft, black has the distinct characteristic of absorbing negative energy, intensifying it and sending it directly back to its source. Often times, there is little else needed in defensive strategy than to include black in your protective or reversal works. When used to deliver or receive messages from the land of the dead, black opens a portal for clear communication. When combined with purple, it can assist in creating a communicative link between certain spirits and the user to enable them to communicate with the spirit regularly. An entire book could be written on the works related to the black aspect of Santa Muerte and black candles in general, but if you need quick protection, rapid reversal, or high-speed hexing...put your money on black.
